Has America Lost Its Grip on Reality? - Who What Why

One of the essential reasons, history is taught, in most educational systems, is, to reduce making the same mistakes, repeatedly! Nevertheless, we continuously observe, public and national leaders, failing to learn the lessons, which benefit constituents, the nation, and the rest of the world. Many seem to be concerned, these days, about the tone, rhetoric/ vitriol. anxiety level, and polarization, we witness, every day! Has America LOST its way, and if so, what are some of the reasons/ causes, and, how can we restore this nation, to the country, our Founding Fathers, dreamed of, and tried to create? Some state, the present occupant of the White House, is a major factor, but, is the reality, he is the cause, or, simply a symptom/ result? With that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and some actions, needed, to reverse the dangers, of this trend.

1. Lessons; leadership; listen; learn; losers; losing: 

It appears, many, either, aren't ready, willing, and/ or, able to study, and learn the important lessons, from history. What America, perhaps, needs most, now, is sane leadership, who prioritize bringing people together, for the common good, rather than polarizing, dividing, and encouraging an adversarial relationship/ atmosphere! United, we stand, and divided, we become far weaker! Rather than effectively listening, and learning, from every conversation, and experience, in order to acquire greater experience, expertise, judgment, and, hopefully, wisdom, in the past three years, it seems, we have witnessed, public officials, who put their personal/ political agenda, and self - interest, ahead of quality policy, and the best interests of our nation, and citizens. Why have some of those, who logically, are worst - served by this President's policies, and priorities? Why do so many feel, like we are all losing, when we were promised, so much winning? Why, does it appear, so many of President Trump's core supporters, feel, they are being treated by others, as losers, and resent the system, they believe, is rigged, against them?

2. Options; opportunities; ordinary; opinions:

While everyone is entitled to his own opinions, they are not allowed, their own set of facts! There is no such thing, as an alternative fact, and, simply, because, we may disagree, our nation, must protect Freedom of Speech, always! Only, when, a public official, goes beyond the ordinary, same - old, same - old, and seeks the finest, relevant opportunities, will all viable options and alternatives, be considered and examined! Perhaps, we should have taken notice of the ramifications of, Donald J. Trump's, Make America Great Again, slogan, because, that mindset, seems to look back, with rose - colored glasses, without seeking the best paths to follow!

3. Strengths/ stronger; seek, system; solutions/ solve; sustainable: 

America has now, and always has had, both strengths, and weaknesses! A great leader must effectively use those strengths, while addressing areas of weakness, to make us stronger, and greater! He must seek a meeting - of - the - minds, for the greater good, and create a system, to solve challenges, with viable solutions, and to ensure the finest, most sustainable future!

4. Timely; time - tested; truthful/ trust; trends:

Ignorance is not an excuse, because it's important to use time - tested approaches, when they will make us stronger, and maintain those things/ principles, which focus on all our Constitutional guarantees! A great leader proceeds forward, without procrastination, with wise, well - considered, timely strategies, and actions! One must be open - minded to today's trends, in order to proceed, wisely! If one wants to earn our citizen's trust, he must be, consistently truthful, and since, President Trump, would never be described, as such, by most of us, our national identity, is, at - risk!

Although, we have certainly, strayed, in these past 3 years, if we wake - up, we will recoup, and won't totally, lose our way! If we don't demand better, America, and our Constitutional guarantees, that make us, unique, and great, risk being LOST, forever!
